What is the Haldi ceremony about?
Haldi clarifies the skin and the soul, hence this ceremony is a day before the wedding. So everyone looks and feels their best at the wedding. The turmeric used at the ceremony is prepared by the mothers of the couple and female neighbors to give it extra blessing and meaning.
The ceremony starts by smearing the haldi paste on the bride and groom, this is done by the people dear to them. Later on the public gets involved and we are going to play games and make one big mess. Be prepared for fun and dirty clothes.
